Diana Starbuck:
Born and raised in Toronto, Diana has been a resident of the Sunshine Coast for over 40 years. Being a single mom after her 2 children were in their teens, she returned to school as a mature student in the 1980's, taking a 2 year Business Management Program. At Capilano College she studied Marketing, Accounting, Law, specializing in Finance.
This led to her first new job in the office at Gibsons Marina where she worked during the day. She missed working with people, so continued working as a server at Gramma's Pub at night. Working two jobs and having to interact with all kinds of people in all kinds of situations honed Diana’s people skills and problem solving abilities. This instilled an unbreakable work ethic and proved helpful to Diana in her real estate career.
When she began her real estate career in 1990, Diana’s business related background helped with her immediate success. She sold 5 houses in her first 6 weeks! However, this came as no surprise to her friends and colleagues who knew her. Diana didn’t stop there - she sold 32 houses in her very first year, achieving the prestigious Medallion Club Award from the Greater Vancouver Real Estate Board (top 10% of all realtors).
Diana is a self-taught artist and her paintings grace the homes of many friends and art enthusiasts alike. Her busy reals estate career didn’t leave a lot of time for painting, yet as the years passed, Diana has made time. Her colourful paintings of animals, gardens, and favourite places reflect her love of the Sunshine Coast. She is a member of the Coastal Art Gallery and has displayed her work in several other exhibits.
Residing now on her hobby farm in Roberts Creek, Diana is grateful to be living her childhood dream! She continues to serve her clients with the same dedication and work ethic she showed in her first year!
