Brenda Sopel
Born and raised in Ontario, Brenda and her family moved to North Vancouver in 1974. In the mid '80's she lived and worked in Whistler with Blackcomb Mountain Ent. Ltd/Intrawest Developments, managing the main office as Hugh Smythe's Administrative Assistant. She later obtained her real estate license and worked with RE/MAX Whistler in the early 1990's.
After travelling extensively in Europe, Brenda chose to settle on the Sunshine Coast, having visited the area often as an avid scuba diver. She entered the banking world and did the daily commute to Vancouver for a short while, but in 1993 she obtained a position with Sunshine Coast Credit Union as Commercial Lender/Account Manager. She’s lived here ever since.
In 2008 Brenda returned to the real estate profession with RE/MAX Oceanview. And it’s gone extremely well! She has listed and sold real estate from one end of the Coast to the other and qualified for the Real Estate Board’s prestigious Medallion Club multiple years (Top 10% in production). Brenda feels that serving all those years as an expert in the world of finance has helped her along the way. She also works very, very hard, is a stickler for detail and a tough negotiator.
Brenda takes personal pride in providing confidential and professional service in a simple, yet comprehensive way. She has great market knowledge, does her research, and understands her role as trusted advisor in what is usually her clients’ largest financial transaction of their lives.
Brenda and her son, Luke, live in Roberts Creek and are active in a variety of sporting venues. She supports her community by volunteering for the Gibsons Minor Baseball Association.
